She became the thing they warned each other about in the dark.

Lilith was before the order. She existed when the world was still deciding what it was, and she refused to become something smaller. Where Cain's immortality was imposed, hers was chosen — a defiance so complete it rewrote the nature of what she was.

House Lilith does not seek to rule or to protect. It seeks to remain unknowable. It is the chaos that makes order necessary. Without Lilith, there is nothing to protect against — and therefore no reason for any of the other Houses to exist.
