Amaru II was the leader of the largest indegenous uprising against Spanish Colonial rule in South America during the 18th Century. The rebellion quickly spread, not only through Peru but through the Andes. He was a claimed descendent of the last Inca Emperor giving him a legacy and a bloodline that became immortal. Despite this he was executed by hanging, drwaing and quartering. But rather than his legend burning out there, his martydom became immortal and he continued to inspire future generations of revolutionaries through Latin America.
