In the ancient city of Tenochtitlan, a powerful group of Aztec Priests secretly worship an obscure and ancient God Tezcatlipoca, the God of Night, Sorcery and Blood. These Priests, the Tlacaelel, were keepers of dark secrets passed down through generations, secrets that created Immortal Bloodlines, and granted them Eternal Life, but at what terrible cost?

Legend tells of a great celestial event, where the sun was devoured by darkness and the moon turned a deep crimson. The head priest made a pact with Tezcatlipoca. In exchange for eternal life and God-like powers, the priests would offer a never-ending supply of blood. The very essence of life, to sustain the Dark God. The priest's mortal bodies were transformed to Immortal vessels that craved the life-giving fluid of blood, and forever bound them to the darkness. 

But this came at a cost, the more they drank, the more they needed. Leading to more elaborate rituals and human sacrifices. The blood of the innocent became the currency for their eternal lives. Their justification to the masses was the blood was needed to keep the sun moving across the sky, to ensure to prosperity of the Aztec Empire, and to protect the people from destruction and chaos. The masses in fear built huge temples to the Sun Gods and these became the stages for the rituals and bloodletting, but the secrets of the Dark God and his insatiable appetite remained buried in the shadows. 

As centuries passed the priests became myth and legend, their stories lost to the sands of time. Yet they remained waiting and watching, their thirst never abating. Immortal Bloodlines draws inspiration from these dark tales, symbolizing the power and cost of immortality.
